Godox flashes are a functional and inexpensive alternative to the "native" on-camera light for the lion's share of photographic systems. Let's take, for example, the V860II model, which is produced in versions for Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fuji and Olympus (along with Panasonic).
Long battery life
Technically, the flash is a twin brother of the popular Godox TT685 model. The only difference is that it does not have a connector for external power supply, and it is “fed” with energy from a capacious Li-Ion battery (2000 mAh). On one battery charge, the flash produces about 650 volleys in full power mode. In total, the photographer has 8 main power levels from 1/1 to 1/128 with the ability to adjust for intermediate values of ±0.3 and ±0.7
Guide number 60
The power of the flash's light pulse is characterized by a guide number of 60 - this is the distance in meters that the light "reaches" at ISO 100 sensitivity and f/1 lens aperture. The flash automatically adjusts to changes in zoom in the range of 20-200 mm. The Godox V860II "head" rotates 180° in each direction horizontally, tilts 90° upwards and drops 7° downwards, which opens up broad prospects for working with reflected light.
Advanced functionality
The flash operates "automatically" (E-TTL), in M mode with manual setting of the pulse power and in Multi mode (strobe with fine adjustment of the power parameters of individual volleys). As a master or slave model, the model uses a light trap and a built-in radio synchronizer for synchronization with other lighting devices(32 channels and 5 groups (A/B/C/D/E) with a range of up to 100 meters are available). The flash is attached to the hot shoe of the camera using a clamping disk, which sometimes jams. There are no other claims to the model, which allows us to confidently recommend it to avid photo enthusiasts as the main on-camera light.
