Radiotelephones with polyphonic melodies
Polyphonic melodies
— ability to play polyphonic sound signals. Initially, radiotelephone signals were monophonic — in the form of a "tweeter", at best capable of reproducing the simplest motive for individual notes. Polyphonic signals are much richer and more pleasing, and the most advanced phones can even play full-fledged music files like MP3s. On the other hand, support of polyphony comes at a cost, though the value of this feature is more aesthetic than practical.polyphonic melodies | clear | Save List |
