— a milk frother in the form of a separate spout from which milk foam is dispensed. Such foam is prepared in the coffee maker itself, without user intervention, but it must be dosed manually – this is how such systems differ from fully automatic ones. In addition, “semi-automatic” devices usually do not have a reservoir for milk – it is taken from an external container through a special tube – and the “milk” spout may be located quite far from the coffee spout, so the cup may have to be moved. These milk frothers are cheaper than automatic ones, but not by much, and besides, this difference is almost unnoticeable compared to the cost of coffee makers in general. So this option is not particularly widespread – manufacturers more often choose “full automatic” ones.
