4G (LTE) support

LTE is by far the most common 4th generation (4G) communication standard. The data transfer speed in such networks already reaches 173 Mbps, and in the future it may be even higher. Before buying a tablet with this feature, you should make sure that you have LTE coverage where you plan to use it.

Also note that 4G support is usually combined with a 3G module (see the relevant paragraph), however, there may also be “4G only” models that are not compatible with 3G networks; this nuance should also be clarified in advance.
