By itself, the Wi-Fi module is almost mandatory for a modern tablet. And the Wi-Fi 5 standard uses the 5 GHz frequency (better protected from interference than earlier versions of 2.4 GHz) and provides data transfer speeds up to 6.77 Gbps. This is not the most advanced version today, but the faster and more advanced Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) is still just beginning to take root and is extremely rare in tablets.

Also note that for compatibility purposes, gadgets with this feature usually provide support for earlier generations of Wi-Fi. However, of course, in order to use the full capabilities of Wi-Fi 5, both the tablet and the wireless equipment to which it is connected must support this version.
