Block

— an additional movable block that doubles the load capacity of the device due to a corresponding reduction in operating speed and effective working length. It can be both removable (in winches and MTM, see "Device"), and non-removable (in hoists). Note that even in the absence of such a device in the kit, many units allow the use of third-party blocks, including improvised ones.
