2-stroke outboard motors
Petrol (2-stroke)
— gasoline internal combustion engine with a two-stroke cycle. All gasoline engines (regardless of the cycle of operation) are heavier, more complex and more expensive than electric ones, with the last two features relating to both the purchase and use of the unit. In addition, during operation, they produce a lot of noise and emit exhaust gases. On the other hand, the power of such motors can be almost anything — from modest models for single boats to professional units suitable even for sea boats. Yes, and dealing with a supply of fuel is often easier than with charging a battery. As for two-stroke engines, they are simpler than four-stroke ones, and also, with an equal volume, they are more powerful. At the same time, this variety is more noisy, consumes more fuel and requires refueling with a fuel-oil mixture (although advanced models may use specific lubrication systems that provide more convenient — separate — refueling of gasoline and oil).petrol (2-stroke) | clear | Save List |
