Tiller boat motors
Tiller
— control by means of a two-wheel tractor — a lever located directly on the motor. With this lever, the helmsman can not only adjust the speed and change gear, but also turn the motor, changing the direction of the boat. Two-wheel tractor systems are much simpler and cheaper than remote control (see the relevant paragraph), but they are poorly suited for large boats — the helmsman has to sit in the stern, and with a long hull this can create problems with visibility straight ahead. However, two-wheel tractors are found in all categories of outboard motors, from the most modest to the most powerful.Show
