Hook removers
Hook remover
— a heavy device that helps remove a snagged lure without breaking the line: it is most often a weight, a "dummy", or a cylinder with a ring/loop and a chain or hook. The working method is as follows: the retriever is attached to a separate cord or rope, slid onto the main fishing line (through the ring/loop), and released down the taut line to the spot where the lure is stuck; then the retriever strikes the lure or catches it with its chain on the treble hooks and pulls it off the snag/rock. Thus, the retriever is designed to rescue crankbaits, spoons, and jig lures from snags and rocks, saving money and time on rigging the tackle. For instance, if a crankbait gets caught on a branch at depth — lower the retriever down the line, tap a couple of times, and retrieve the lure.No offers found
