Grip (lip grip)

— a manual clamp with spring-loaded jaws, similar to a pincer tool, that locks onto the fish's lower jaw. As it tightens, the mechanism allows you to hold the fish, and the handle provides control to prevent it from slipping away; some models feature a rotating head to reduce the fish's twisting. The lip grip aids in safely holding the fish in the water, allowing you to remove the hook and take a photo without sticking your fingers into the mouth of a pike/zander or grabbing the fish by the gills.
