— the name of this type describes its main feature: the design has a strong permanent magnet. As in conventional mechanical treadmills, in magnetic ones, the movement of the belt is provided by the efforts of the athlete himself. However, the load is not changed by changing the inclination, but by adjusting the position of the magnet and changing the resistance to movement. The advantages of such treadmills over mechanical ones are smooth running and simplicity of design (due to the absence of a system for changing the angle of inclination), and over electric ones — lower cost and independence from external power supply. At the same time, due to the high load on the legs, such simulators may not be suitable for people for whom strong loads are contraindicated — for example, with diseases of the joints, rehabilitation after injuries, etc.
