Car audio with external crossover
— crossover, made as a separate device, in its own case outside the speaker system. A crossover is a filter that, in multiband systems, divides the overall frequency range into separate bands. It can also be installed in the cabinet of the speaker itself, however, it is believed that external crossovers distort the sound less. In addition, they can be equipped with regulators for fine tuning.
