Rechargeable toothbrushes
Battery powered
— powered by its own built-in battery, often non-removable.Both rechargeable batteries and non-rechargeable batteries (see the relevant paragraph) fall under autonomous power sources, allowing you to use the toothbrush/oral irrigator even when there are no sockets nearby. This type of power source is the most common, primarily for two reasons. First, using such devices incurs no additional costs: a reusable power source and a charger (or at least a cable) are initially included with the toothbrush/oral irrigator. Second, it's easier to "integrate" a specialized battery into the device's design, and its capacity often exceeds that of a similarly sized non-rechargeable battery. The drawbacks of this power type include the fact that charging the built-in battery takes time and requires an external power source; however, in practice, this often proves to be a minor issue.
It’s also worth noting that in stationary dental centers (see "Type") that operate from a socket, the included toothbrushes also have battery power. However, such sets in our catalog are classified under the "mains-powered" category.
