Label printers

— printers designed for printing self-adhesive labels and other similar products. Many models in this category use the same technology as receipt printers (see the relevant paragraph) — direct thermal, so they can also be used for receipts. Thermal transfer label printers are somewhat less common; they are noticeably more expensive, but the prints obtained using this technology are highly reliable, durable, and resistant to adverse conditions (temperature changes, sunlight, abrasion, etc.).

Anyway, such devices generally have more extensive functionality than models for checks. So, even in relatively label printers of this type, a mechanism for automatically separating the sticker from the substrate can be provided — so that the sticker can be used immediately after release, without spending extra effort. And some models are stand-alone devices with keyboards, displays, and built-in print layout sets; on such a printer, you can create and print a label without connecting to a PC.

Another important difference is a higher print resolution, which allows you to fully print not only text, but also barcodes, QR codes and other similar data on such a technique.
