Limiter amplifiers
Limiter
— a limiter is a device that narrows the dynamic range of the reproduced sound, in other words, reduces the difference between the loudest and quietest fragments. In home amplifiers, this function is used to provide comfort when listening to materials with large volume differences — for example, symphonic music: the listener does not have to increase the volume on quiet fragments and reduce it on loud ones, in fact, the limiter does it for him. In concert amplifiers, such a module is indispensable when working with microphones that “listen” to vocals or acoustic instruments.Show
