Wi-Fi technology is known mainly as a way to access the Internet through wireless access points. Actually, in car radios it is also possible to use Wi-Fi for this purpose, especially since modern technologies allow you to literally carry an access point with you — in the form of a smartphone or a mobile router capable of distributing mobile Internet. And if you have a 3G modem (see the relevant paragraph), it may be possible to distribute the Internet to other devices already from the radio itself. There are other ways to use Wi-Fi, for example, to connect directly to a smartphone or tablet and exchange data. Specific ways to use this feature vary by model.
