Stainless steel food containers

 

— stainless steel can be produced both with special coatings (enamel) and without them; in this case, both options are implied. The main feature of this material can be called high strength, which allows it to endure even strong blows. Also, stainless steel itself normally tolerates temperature extremes and strong heat, up to the use of an oven (however, paint and other coatings may not survive this, so actual compatibility should be clarified separately). But such containers cannot be placed in microwave ovens. In addition, non-enamelled steel is not well suited for long-term storage of food, especially acidic ones — the "stainless" properties of such surfaces are not absolute, and some kind of oxidation will inevitably occur, which over time can lead to deterioration in the quality of the contents. However, the enamel coating eliminates this problem. But opacity is a common drawback of all steel containers.
