Signal repeater

— a device that receives and retransmits a radio signal between sensors, key fobs, or other components and the system’s central control unit. It helps extend the range of reliable communication in large buildings, across multiple floors, or where walls and other obstacles are present. The repeater must support the frequency and protocol of the specific security system; matching just one parameter is usually insufficient. During installation, a location with reliable reception of the original signal is selected, while power supply, backup power, and permissible operating conditions are taken into account.
