— as the name suggests, this tie is a strap with a clasp located between the shoulder straps at chest level. Its use allows you to partially transfer the weight from the shoulders to the chest, making the transportation of the backpack more comfortable, and also provides additional reliability: when the tie is fastened, the backpack will not slip off the shoulders, even if you try to drop it intentionally.
