Cold printing 3D pens
Cold printing
— 3D pens that form shapes from photopolymer resin, a fluid material that solidifies when exposed to ultraviolet radiation. The source of UV radiation is built into the pen. The key advantage of such devices over heated ones is that they operate without heating and work with them does not create a risk of burns. Thanks to this, a “cold” 3D pen can be entrusted even to a child, without fear that he will burn himself or start a fire. In addition, if desired, the shape of the uncured resin can be corrected even with your hands, without burning yourself. Another advantage of “cold” models is battery life: they require power only for UV LEDs, and even batteries are enough for them. On the other hand, consumables for such devices are significantly more expensive than those for heated printing pens; and completed models are relatively fragile and require careful handling (although much depends on the specific resin composition).cold printing | clear | Save List |
