Solid body

The overall acoustics of the instrument is largely determined by the design features of the case. The wood used for the hull can be either solid or plywood (layered). The first option is considered more advanced both in terms of sound and in terms of instrument durability (some types of wood only improve acoustic properties over time). On the other hand, one-piece cases are very expensive. Accordingly, this feature is usually a sign of a high-end professional tool.
