If the jacket is swinging, then the equipment is called a kimono, and if it is one-piece (puts on over the head, like a jacket) — dobok. Additionally, for taekwondo, a wide range of shoes and protective helmets is provided. In general, taekwondo clothing is made of durable fabric, often reinforced seams are used. Such equipment is designed for high mechanical stress, which can occur during grabs, throws, hooks and just power strikes.
