We emphasize that the design of most of these units differs markedly from handheld household models. Manual industrial vacuum cleaners most of all resemble industrial construction vacuum cleaners (see the relevant paragraph) of reduced size and without wheels: they are equipped with flexible hoses and sometimes also pipes. For ease of carrying from place to place, a shoulder strap can be provided, but backpack models are placed at a separate selection item. Also note that among vacuum cleaners of this type, battery models are very common (including combined ones, with the possibility of mains power).

Anyway, handheld industrial units can cope with coarse construction and industrial waste (sawdust, gravel, etc.). In terms of power and performance, they are somewhat inferior to classic industrial models, but they are more mobile and not so dependent on sockets.
