Tool adapter
— a nozzle that allows you to connect the vacuum cleaner to electric and pneumatic tools (saws, drills, grinders, etc.). Thanks to this connection, the vacuum cleaner can instantly draw in dust, chips, sawdust and other similar contaminants. This significantly simplifies cleaning after finishing work (or even eliminates the need to do it). Tool adapters are most popular among industrial and units for shop (see "Product type"), but the design of such adapters may be different.The most widespread nowadays are nozzles in the form of a cone of "steps" of different diameters. They are designed to work with a tool that initially can connect to a vacuum cleaner: the dimensions of the "steps" of the adapter correspond to several standard diameters in which the pipes for such connection are made. Some vacuum cleaners with similar equipment even have an auto-off function when the tool is turned on; for more information, see "Features - built-in socket".
Another variant of this type of adapter is a kind of cover used with drills, punchers and other similar tools. Such a device has a round shape, in its centre, there is a hole for a drill, and on the side, there is a nozzle for connecting to a vacuum cleaner; the central hole can be supplemented with characteristic "petals" that reduce the risk of contact of the working nozzle with the adapter housing. When using such an adapter, the cover is fixed over the workplace, and the waste is effectively sucked in by the vacuum cleaner instead of flying around. However, such devices are rarely included in the delivery package — they are more popular as separately sold accessories.
