— it is a traditional type of control of automatic washing machines. It is used in most of these models and might be found in all price categories. With this control, the main rotary knob provides programme selection. Additional smaller knobs may be provided to select individual parameters (temperature, spin speed), and other settings and special features are buttons controlled. Compared to touch controls, pushbuttons are noticeably cheaper, while they are relatively functional and have no fundamental drawbacks.
