However, anyway, the presence of a power source allows you to fully use the device right out of the box, without buying anything extra. Without a battery, at best, only the functions of a voltmeter and an ammeter will be available to the user — if the device is analogue (see "Functions / Capabilities"); digital models, which are the majority on the market, become completely useless in the absence of power.
