Such batteries are created specifically for specific devices (or series of devices), do not belong to standard sizes and are often made non-removable. They can have more advanced characteristics than replaceable batteries, and they also save you from additional expenses — you don’t need to regularly buy batteries (or a separate battery with a charger), it’s enough to charge the existing power source from time to time. On the other hand, when the charge is exhausted, such a battery cannot be quickly replaced with a fresh one — the only option is charging, and it requires an outlet and takes time, sometimes quite a lot. As a result, branded batteries have not received much distribution.

Note that devices from this category may additionally be able to be powered from a power outlet; many of these devices, when connected to the network, are able to simultaneously charge their own battery.
