— a helmet (more like a mask in most models) equipped with a built-in screen for viewing live feed from the drone's camera. The features of such a broadcast as a whole are described in detail in the relevant paragraph. As for the helmet, it has some advantages over a more traditional screen (see "FPV broadcast display") or a smartphone/tablet display. Firstly, in a helmet, the display is covered from external light, so that visibility does not depend on environmental conditions. Secondly, with the help of such an accessory, the maximum "presence on board effect" is achieved, which not only provides additional entertainment, but also contributes to the accuracy of control.
On the other hand, the helmet is more expensive than the screen, and when wearing it, the operator does not see what is happening directly next to him (more precisely, he can see these only through the camera of the copter). In addition, different people have different head shapes and sizes, so for some users, a mask with a display may simply be uncomfortable; the same applies when the operator wears glasses. At the same time, all such equipment costs more than a classic display. So there aren't many helmet-equipped quadcopters, mostly racing models (see "Type"), for which precision control is key.
