A high frame rate is used primarily to create a slow-motion effect: when such video is played at a normal frame rate (60 fps or lower), it is perceived as slow-motion. In addition, increasing the shooting speed improves the visibility of fast-moving objects in the video — the more frames per second, the less blurry and clearer such objects are.
