The fifth integration of the popular tower cooler from the premium Dark Rock line, which the German manufacturer Be Quiet decided to make slightly more affordable, bringing it closer to the general public. Just like the fourth version, Dark Rock 5 is a massive tower with a classic U-shaped configuration of six heat pipes (6 mm), a large single-section radiator, and a proprietary 120 mm fan.

It stands out for its impressive power (up to 210 W) and dimensions (height 161 mm, weight just over 1 kg) and is designed for full-format builds in spacious cases where all elements can be placed more freely without interfering with each other. The radiator of be quiet! Dark Rock 5 consists of a copper nickel-plated base, six heat pipes with a diameter of 6 mm, and a section of aluminum fins.

The asymmetrical design and cutouts for the radiator provide more space around it for memory modules and the possibility to install a second fan on the exhaust side for additional cooling efficiency. The active cooling of the system is handled by a 120 mm Silent Wings 4 fan with PWM control support and a maximum speed of up to 2100 RPM. Thanks to the combination of a quiet 6-pole motor, optimized fan blades, and a hydrodynamic bearing, the manufacturer promises high performance and virtually silent operation with a peak noise level of no more than 30 dB. The list of supported platforms includes Intel LGA115x, LGA1200, LGA1700, AMD AM4, and AM5.
