The appeal of the monitor is in the huge panel, its curvature, plus the aspect ratio, the color rendering is bright, the detailing is fine, build quality is alright and the ergonomics aren't terrible. VA panel - with good brightness and contrast, the screen size is huge, 8-bit panel - this is actually a great option, decent resolution. Thoughtful ergonomics
The AOC Curved Ultra-Wide Monitor is a truly comfortable solution for work. The stand is complemented by a hole for cable management, is adjustable in tilt and turn, and also allows you to change the height of the screen. And, by the way, a range of 15 cm will make it possible to place even a laptop with a large diagonal under the AOC CU34P2A.
A practical addition is the built-in speakers (2x3 W), which means that it is not necessary to buy separate speakers. Worth mentioning is the USB hub with 4 ports and support for fast charging of mobile gadgets.
Wide and with a cool picture
The monitor is based on an 8-bit VA matrix with a high resolution of 3440x1440 (21:9). The image on the screen is clear, contrasty (ratio 3000:1), moderately bright (300 cd/m² - more than enough to combat glare), but with rich, deep colors. The latter confirms the excellent color gamut, namely good sRGB (covering 120% of the model space). Flicker-Free technology and Lowblue Light filtering are implemented from the usual chips.
Accordingly, the AOC CU34P2A should successfully prove itself in various scenarios, ranging from routine multitasking office work or amateur creative tasks (design, video editing, etc.) to watching movies and other content.
Game Ready
The monitor is also interesting for not the most demanding fans of computer games. So, the curvature of the 1500R screen contributes to the notorious immersion effect. The refresh rate is increased to 100 Hz, plus there is support for AMD FreeSync. To get rid of unwanted delays in dynamic scenes should be a fast response (4 ms gray to gray and 1 ms for MPRT technology).
The AOC CU34P2A is a good ultra-wide monitor for a workhorse role and a multimedia entertainment center.
