NTSC is one of the first colour models, created back in 1953 with the advent of colour television. By itself, it is not supported on current monitors, but NTSC coverage data is provided for comparison and promotional purposes. The fact is that this model has noticeably larger range of colours than the standard sRGB used in computer technology (see the relevant paragraph), and the seemingly small NTSC coverage corresponds to rather advanced characteristics. For example, the mentioned 75% for this colour model gives coverage of about 100% for sRGB, so monitors from this category are quite good in colour reproduction.
