High-performance mid-range gaming graphics card based on the AMD Navi 10 GPU, which is the carrier of the advanced RDNA microarchitecture and manufactured using a 7 nm process technology. Refers to 2019 model year products from Asus' popular gaming series The Ultimate Force. It has a slight factory overclocking of the GPU (+3% to the boost mode frequency), is equipped with an impressive amount (8 GB) of advanced GDDR6 256-bit graphics memory, which allows the use of high-quality high-resolution textures. A key feature of the Asus Radeon RX 5700 XT TUF Gaming X3 OC graphics card is a proprietary three-slot cooling system built on the basis of 4 copper heat pipes with high aluminium fins. For blowing a massive two-section radiator, three durable 80 mm axial fans on double rolling bearings ar...e used. The performance of this video adapter is sufficient to get a comfortable high frame rate in any popular game projects of 2015-2019 at maximum graphics settings at a resolution of 1920x1080. A consistently high frame rate is maintained at a higher resolution of 2560x1440. Thus, this graphics card can be used as part of high-performance gaming systems designed to work with FullHD and WQHD resolution monitors. Consumes up to 215 W of energy, requires a power supply unit with a capacity of at least 600 W.

Fancy Asus

Usually, Asus products are clearly divided into 2 categories: in the ROG STRIX line, the principle of "everything and more" is professed, in TUF they try to stay down to earth. But for the recent RX 5700 XT, the company's engineers decided not to be modest and completely redesigned the cooling system. The new design includes a huge aluminium heatsink that is in maximum contact with the PCB components, and a trio of new Axial-Tech coolers, the edges of which are connected by a ring for a more directed removal of heated air. However, such a system behaved ambiguously, several times the temperature increased out of proportion to the load, and the core frequencies dropped noticeably. In response to complaints, Asus representatives said that the problem is in the BIOS and the problem will be fixed in future updates.

Pumped up for the summer

The resulting design turned out to be unusually massive for this series (the length of the card is 269 mm, it occupies 3 slots), but at the same time it is moderately stylish. A textured finish and a small unobtrusive RGB element on the side give this behemoth a pretty neat look. Considering how hot and loud the reference RX 5700 XT was, the desire to get it right is commendable. And it doesn't end with coolers alone. In addition to them, the company's engineers used an enhanced VMR circuit, added a protective backplate and finalized the power circuits, reducing power consumption by 10 watts. It is a pity that this reserve cannot be used to the full due to the power limit sewn into the BIOS.

Optimal for 2K gaming

In terms of characteristics, we have a factory overclocked core, which in boost can rise to 1980 MHz, although in most cases it stays at 1870 MHz. You can squeeze out a little extra FPS with the help of manual overclocking, but it won’t work much, Navi chips are not very good at this. But even without overclocking, the Asus Radeon RX 5700 XT TUF X3 OC delivers, perhaps, the best performance to date. Even in the most voracious projects of the Assassin's Creed Odyssey caliber in Full HD resolution and maximum graphics settings, it does not drop below 60 FPS, and in well-optimized projects it allows you to comfortably play in 2K resolution.
