I bought it in September during a promotion, and the main criteria for choosing was Mesh - which only works properly with Asus (without any hassle).
Correct Mesh, the best hardware for the money (enough for about five years), significantly improved coverage, especially at 5GHz, convenient firmware updates.

Fast and multifunctional, won't let you down during a blackout.

I use it for a smart home, with more than 20 devices constantly connected to the network, downloading torrents, watching 4K movies from the home server, and playing games. It has never let me down. I connected a ZTE MF833U1 USB modem with a 4G SIM card, and combined with a charging station, there is always internet, even during a blackout.
Very fast router for a large number of devices with huge customization options.
Upon first power-on, I couldn't connect; it turned out I needed to download the app and connect using the QR code on the back panel for setup. The box does not include instructions, only a warranty card.

a model with serious flaws

Bought it, struggled for a week, and returned it.
Lots of settings, but I simply couldn't achieve stable performance.

Interestingly, when connecting an external HDD, one of the two access points disappeared. That's nonsense)

Problems with the router's power supply. Poor performance with USB. Media server and other additional features from the description do not work well and seem to be added just for show.
