The modern Asus RT-BE50 router adheres to the Wi-Fi 7 standard, supporting all previous generations. It was developed by a Taiwanese company in 2025 for home and office use. Data transfer speeds reach 688 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band and 2882 Mbps in the 5 GHz band. Each band comes with two adjustable antennas. Advanced MU-MIMO and MLO (network aggregation) technologies maximize bandwidth. The router is compatible with seamless roaming technology AiMesh and offers built-in IoT Network protection against cyber threats.

Capabilities allow for effective online gaming and streaming of 8K content, along with the transmission of large files with no local network delays. Provider connection is achieved through WAN at speeds of up to 2.5 Gbps. Wired connections to devices can be made with three 1 Gbps LAN ports. The ASUS Smart Home Master mobile assistant simplifies settings adjustments, offers user restrictions, and parental controls. The software supports all modern standards, enables the creation of children's and guest networks with specific traffic limits, and enhances security through VPN.

So-so acquisition, better to consider competitors.

Purchased last year, matches the claimed specifications, easily delivers 500 Mbps on a PC, and 350-400 Mbps on an iPhone 11 Pro.
Speed on some devices, easy setup.
Works poorly with new phones like iPhone 14 Pro, 16 Pro, speeds on them often don't exceed 5-10 MB.
