Despite the transparent walls, there is no RGB or ARGB lighting — four pre-installed Pure Wings 3 fans operate without lighting effects, which stands out as a deliberate choice for those who find blinking cases distracting. The dual-chamber design separates the power supply and drives from the main components, while seven expansion slots and support for vertical GPU installation provide flexibility uncommon among many competitors.

The be quiet! Light Base 500 case features a slanted side fan frame, which can be extended upwards for easy mounting and directs airflow precisely towards the graphics card. The bottom fan compartment is flush with the base, eliminating air flow gaps. The allowed cooler height of 185 mm is one of the largest in its class, allowing the use of substantial tower coolers.

Ten mounting points and three positions for liquid cooling systems, including a 360-mm radiator on top, meet the needs of serious builds. Support for boards with reversed cable connectivity is implemented by rearranging the PSU and drive cage, maintaining a completely "clean" look for the main chamber.
