Gaming case for mounting large, powerful and hot components, presented on the market by the popular brand be quiet! in 2023. The platform is designed for the latest versions of Radeon 7900 XTX and GeForce RTX 4090 video cards. Video card solutions up to 430 mm in length are supported! This case uses a set of ultra-modern branded Light Wings White 140 mm fans, with a total of four spinners.
Air coolers have PWM speed control and ARGB lighting with unique decorative effects. Gaming case be quiet! Shadow Base 800 FX is equipped with a factory-installed hub that allows you to synchronize the illumination and automatically adjust the speed of rotation of the blades. The inner surface of the metal sidewall is equipped with a layer of sound insulation. The protective layer absorbs vibrations well, which has a positive effect on the reliability and durability of PC components.
The platform opens up unusually great possibilities for the cooling system. It will be possible to place two 420 mm long LSS radiators in the housing. The set of branded coolers can be supplemented with four more of the same turntables; for this purpose, auxiliary connectors are provided on the hub. In particular, the manufacturer focuses on supporting large-sized video cards such as Radeon 7900 XTX and GeForce RTX 4090 (maximum length 430 mm), as well as massive liquid cooling systems of 420 mm size.
3 front fans with neat ARGB lighting
The rest of the case is quite similar to the popular Pure Base 500 FX model, equipped with three ARGB fans behind the front door, which serves as the main point for hot air exhaust. In total, the case comes with four Light Wings with ARGB lighting, and a lighting control hub is included, which can be connected to Aura Sync, Polychrome Sync, Mystic Light and other lighting control systems.
Great, but a bit expensive
Overall, be quiet! has created a rather interesting premium case that successfully combines effective cooling, high capacity, spectacular lighting and good noise insulation (as much as possible with perforation). Despite the ventilated design, the case provides effective protection against dust: magnetic filters are installed at the front and bottom, and the case is covered with a fine mesh panel on top. The video card can be placed vertically using a riser. The removable pockets for drives are equipped with vibration isolation and are installed without using a screwdriver. There are 4 USB ports on the front panel, including USB-C.
The only downside to the be quiet! Shadow Base 800 FX is the availability of more affordable Airflow cases with similar features from Montech, Cougar and Gamemax.
