RPM preset. Quick release chuck.

Lightweight corded drill with impact mode, which will help you to effectively cope with drilling in hard materials such as wood, concrete or metal. The rotation speed depends on the force of pressing the button, on the same button there is a small adjusting dial that limits the maximum number of revolutions (up to 2800 rpm). It is equipped with the additional handle for reliable deduction during the work. There are modifications on the market with both key and keyless chucks.

Model overview based on user reviews
The Bosch GSB 13 RE Professional 0601217100 drill is a compact and lightweight tool, praised for its powerful performance and versatile functionality. It features a quick-release metal chuck and is suitable for drilling in materials like wood and concrete, making it ideal for home use. However, some users have noted issues with the unclear and fuzzy switches, uneven acceleration, and the tool heating up during use. Despite these concerns, the drill is appreciated for its 3-year warranty and long, soft power cord. A common critique is the lack of a case, which some find surprising for a professional model. Overall, while it may not meet the demands of heavy professional work, it is considered a reliable choice for lighter tasks and home projects.

Small and lightweight drill. There is a speed controller, a self-tightening chuck - the drills are tightened easily and pleasantly. It works well, I did not notice any backlashes, it enters the material well.
Powerful, lightweight, functional

BOSCH was probably joking when he called her professional

I bought a Bosch. The choice was between him and Makita. I chose it because of the long warranty. At first glance, I liked it, it’s not so cute, the cord is good, but the switches are uncomfortable, without a clear fixation. Well, okay, you have to get used to it, it’s Bosch... We started working. And the additional handle does not lock in place and constantly slides out. Well, after mentioning the swear word BOSCH, they wrapped up the electrical tape, it won’t budge... Bah, why is she shaking the drill, the cartridge is not clamped well? No, it’s normal, but what is it, but here it is, the cartridge on the new drill dangles 3mm back and forth to the side I mean... It’s bad, but we’ll survive... And somehow it’s picking up speed in spurts... Okay, let’s get used to it ... Oh yo, it gets really hot, though it doesn’t burn like cheap China, but the hands are very warm... So I don’t understand, did I buy a professional instrument, or an expensive rattle? Where is the vaunted German quality? How come Prof. treat the instrument with electrical tape... This is prof. tool... or not?
3-year warranty, if BOSCH does not deceive
Long, soft power cord.
Unclear, fuzzy switches.
Uneven acceleration.
Heats up.
Poorly made.

Maybe for that kind of money it’s okay? - although not exactly cheap!

Different sellers give different descriptions of this model, both in terms of power, weight, and the presence of speed control (mine doesn’t). Some have a case (case), mine doesn’t, and it’s also considered a professional model. The chucks can be key or quick-release. Well, in general, you need to look and know what you want.
I hope the Bosch won't die soon
... made two holes in concrete, one in wood - it’s too early to judge the shortcomings

Classics of the genre

The Bosch GSB 13 RE drill is one of the most compact in its class. It is designed to be used as a universal tool for simple installation and assembly work. Due to its modest size, the drill is convenient to use at a construction site or in the workshop, and its moderate weight (1.8 kg) contributes to long-term work without fatigue. The tool has a speed preset, made in the form of a small rotating disk on the start button. This model is equipped with a keyless chuck, but for lovers of traditional designs, the same drill is also available in the Bosch GSB 13 RE Professional 0601217102 package with a cam-type chuck.

Nearly perfect tool

The ergonomics of the tool is thought out with German diligence. It is convenient to hold the drill both with one hand (there are rubber pads on the handle) and with two. The delivery set includes a removable side handle and a metal drilling depth stop. Professional builders might complain about the lack of a flight case, but Bosch branded tool boxes are not in short supply and can be customized to fit your needs.

The fly in the ointment in this barrel of honey is only the reverse button. The switch is very “gentle”, it is not fixed well enough and sometimes pops out, and its contacts often burn out. This is a very annoying “jamb” of the manufacturer, because without a reverse it is very inconvenient to remove the drill from a deep hole.

Drill for the master

Judging by customer reviews, Bosch tools are among the best drills on the market. But it should be remembered that the Bosch GSB 13 RE, although it belongs to the professional models from the “blue” line, is still a medium power tool. This device is not capable of replacing a drill-mixer, mixing building mixtures bucket by bucket without stopping, or constantly working in the chiselling mode. If you need a tool for heavy loads and non-stop concrete work, then among Bosch drills, look for models with metal gearbox housings and motors with a power of 1000 W or more. And be prepared for the fact that they will cost two to three times more than the Bosch GSB 13 RE.
