Vacuum TWS headphones from the brand CMF (a sub-brand of Nothing) are a newcomer to the 2025 market, positioned in the mid-price range. The model stands out with active noise cancellation system, eliminating external noise for better focus on music, podcasts, audiobooks, etc. Additionally, the integrated 12mm dynamic drivers are Hi-Res Audio certified, which is an indirect confirmation of the good sound quality.
The CMF Buds 2 Plus headphones offer extended functionality for Nothing smartphone users, including a special low-latency gaming mode, the "Find my earbuds" feature, and more. Regardless of the smartphone brand, users can employ sound profiles with the app, activate Ultra Bass Technology, and achieve fast pairing with various devices (thanks to specific Google and Microsoft options).
Worth mentioning is the microphone with mute capability and high-quality cVc noise cancellation, IP55 water resistance, and LDAC codec support. The autonomy without the case can reach 14 hours (with noise cancellation off), and with the charging case — up to 61.5 hours. A universal USB-C port is provided for charging, and fast charging is claimed, with a 10-minute connection providing another 8.5 hours of music listening.

I bought these headphones to replace my old CMF Buds Pro, which have been faithfully serving me for almost two years. I wore these headphones for half a day in different scenarios (cycling, public transport, noisy places), and probably where they are slightly better than the Buds Pro is in noise cancellation. However, the transparency mode seems to have gotten worse, and the sound has only slightly improved. Big respect for the bass boost technology, though. Compared to the Buds Pro, the case is terrible (after half a day in a jacket pocket without keys or other junk, there are already tiny scratches, and it gets dirty very easily). Another area where expectations weren't met is the multipoint. I'm no hacker, but I can set up headphones, yet I couldn't find where to set up multipoint. If you just connect to a computer, the transparency and noise cancellation modes work a bit awkwardly, and they occasionally disconnect. Overall, I'm going back to the store to return them tomorrow. Improved noise cancellation Sound is nearly the same (LDAC codec was activated) Bass enhancement technology Application All of this was compared to the CMF Buds Pro model Transparent Mode Multipoint Disgusting Case |
Overall, pretty decent earbuds. I don’t regret buying them. But the noise cancelling is a bit disappointing. If you need complete isolation from outside sounds, look for another model. Nice sound, fit comfortably in the ears, decent noise reduction on the mic (people say they can hear me much better than with my previous Xiaomi), battery life is fine, and I like the app. The ANC is pretty strange: external sounds get much quieter, but for some reason you can still hear them (I swapped the eartips, and the built-in fit test says everything’s okay). Plus, it sometimes reacts weirdly to sudden sounds. |
