The Crucial brand is owned by Micron Technology, one of the few memory manufacturers that has its own semiconductor fabs. Thanks to this , Crucial RAM modules are cheaper than those brands that have to buy memory chips on the side.
Optimal Frequencies
The Value DDR4 series is the simplest and most affordable in the Crucial lineup. It has neither ultra-high frequencies (minimum 2133, maximum 2400 MHz), nor metal radiators required to conquer these ultra-high frequencies. However, the difference in the performance of DDR4 memory with a frequency of 2133 and, say, 3000 MHz, even in processor-dependent professional applications, is minimal, and in games it does not exist at all.
Individually or as a set
Both individual Crucial Value DDR4 memory modules with a volume of 4, 8 or 16 GB are available for sale, as well as ready-made sets of two or four modules (up to a total of 64 GB). For a multimedia and inexpensive gaming PC, 8 GB is optimal, and for an advanced gaming PC, 16 GB. Using a pair of memory modules (dual-channel mode) will give a 10 percent performance boost.
