Dell's Latitude line of ultrabooks combines well-balanced portable computers that can be recommended for solving educational, work and business tasks. The laptops of the family represent the mid-budget category and solutions at the intersection of the intermediate and advanced levels. The models' features include light weight (1.22 kg) and moderate dimensions (thickness 19 mm), which is partly due to the presence of a body not made of the usual plastic or aluminium, but of carbon fiber.
Particular attention is also paid to ensuring user privacy (there is a webcam shutter) and data security. For example, a fingerprint scanner is provided for authentication, which is combined with the power button, and a Smart Card slot is usually available as an additional security option. Dell Latitude 14 7430 laptops have a 14-inch screen with a WVA matrix, a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels and standard (basic) image parameters, including a refresh rate of 60 Hz.
The models are equipped with 12th generation Intel processors with Alder Lake microarchitecture, namely 10-core Core i7 or Core i9 engines (depending on the modification). There is also at least 16 GB of RAM, integrated Iris Xe Graphics G7 graphics adapter and a 512 GB M.2 SSD. The 3816 mAh (58 Wh) rechargeable battery deserves special mention, which, with the included 65 W power supply, supports fast charging (80% of the capacity is replenished in an hour), and in addition has a Power Delivery function, that is, it is capable of powering via USB C energy from peripheral devices or smartphones. We also note the presence of a white keyboard backlight, acoustics based on the Realtek ALC3281-CG chip and popular interfaces, including two Thunderbolt v4 ports, and in some configurations also a 4G (LTE) module.
