Dell peripherals have never been cheap. Even simple wired keyboards designed for office workers often cost twice or three times as much as peripherals from conventional A4Tech or Xiaomi. These are the same thoughts we had at the beginning of the test of the new Dell MS5120W manipulator, and 50 bucks for a regular plastic Bluetooth mouse did not seem like a good buy.

4D scroll wheel

As it turned out, we jumped to conclusions, Dell turned out to be an excellent universal mouse that can last more than one year. The first thing that sets it apart from other laptop models is the so-called 4D scroll wheel, which allows you to scroll not only vertically, but also horizontally. Whether you're working with large spreadsheets, editing photos, or editing audio/video, this wheel can be a valuable ally. Especially in combination with a sensitive 1600 DPI sensor and a couple of additional programmable keys, which you can bind frequently used commands to in conditional Studio One or Photoshop.

36 months battery life

And it's not all trump cards. Dell promises nothing less than 36 months of battery life from a pair of batteries. Against the background of the usual 6-12 months that other Bluetooth mice hold, such longevity is impressive. But for obvious reasons, we could not verify this, so we will take our word for it. Well, the materials here are excellent, the plastic lies pleasantly in the hand, and from the outside it looks like aluminium. Especially if we talk about grey, not black colours. And the mouse itself turned out to be quite comfortable, the shape does not strain the hands, and the symmetrical design allows you to control it with both left and right hands. However the side buttons will not be available for the left hand.
