Compact cordless chainsaw. The tool is intended primarily for pruning branches and cutting them into pieces or trimming limbs from felled trees, but it can also be used for cutting small boards and wooden beams needed for building various structures. The DeWALT DCMPS520N chainsaw is equipped with a brushless motor powered by a battery from the DeWALT 18V XR family.

The cutting set consists of a 200 mm (8") bar and a cutting chain that runs at speeds up to 9 m/s. At the end of the bar there is a tip guard—an accessory that reduces the likelihood of kickback when touching branches. A wrench, included in the set, is used to mount the bar and adjust chain tension. The automatic lubrication system for the cutting gear consists of a pump and an oil tank built into the tool housing, with a capacity of 0.06 L. A plastic scabbard for the bar is included. The battery and charger are not included.
