All-purpose saw with demanded features
The DeWALT DWE576K saw is designed to work on a construction site or make furniture in a small workshop without a woodworking machine. It is advisable to use it for spreading boards or cutting plywood, fibreboard and other similar materials. Thanks to sufficient power (1600 W) and a large sawing depth (up to 61 mm), it is possible to saw and cut wood and sheet materials in bundles with a total thickness of up to 50 – 60 mm.
The saw blade for wood that comes with the saw is only suitable for rough cuts. But if you use the right tooling, the quality of the finish cut will satisfy even the most demanding craftsmen.
Lots of positives and one annoying negative.
The die-cast aluminium base guarantees the stability of the saw. It is resistant to mechanical damage and is significantly stiffer than sheet metal soles. Therefore, during operation, the saw blade maintains a predetermined position (perpendicular to the surface or any other in the range from 0° to 57°, depending on the settings set by the user).
The saw weighs only 4 kg (less than most competitors in the same power class). The light weight combined with the convenient location of the front and rear handles allows you to clearly control the position of the saw and accurately follow the intended cutting line. To make straight cuts with the highest precision, you can use the guide bar and rip fence included in the kit.
You can connect a vacuum cleaner to the saw (there is an adapter for this). But users note that even with the vacuum cleaner connected, a significant part of the sawdust and wood dust flies forward instead of falling into its bag. This is worth considering if you plan to work indoors rather than outdoors.
