Since DeWalt's existing DW625EKT 1/2" plunge router is based on a design that is now several decades old, they have released a new model for 2021 which is built with the requirements of the present day jobsite in mind. The soft start motor ensures the machine starts smoothly, eliminating the sudden jolting which can shift cutters out of alignment, and the On/Off switch and plunge lock are both accessed from the side handles so you've got immediate control at all times. Unlike older designs, the DW625KT also features a no-volt release switch: a safety feature which automatically turns the switch off while there is no power running to the machine and therefore helps to prevent unexpected startups. Additionally, the DW625KT is supplied with an airlock compatible dust extraction accessory which can be connected to a dust extractor or vacuum cleaner to suck the dust out of the work area in order to maintain a cleaner, healthier working environment. Available in 240v or 110v, the DW625KT is supplied in a TSTAK case with an accessory set that also includes a parallel fence and the spanner for swapping out accessories. This is the 110v version which is suitable for use with site transformers.
