Fisher F11

The American company Fisher began producing metal detectors over 80 years ago. The accumulated experience and professionalism rightfully brought Fisher products to the market leaders. The F11 model, which appeared in 2015, has a good search potential and affordable price, thanks to which it is firmly among the twenty most popular models.

Design

The F11 received a 130 cm long 3-section bar and a comfortable armrest that fits snugly to the arm. The middle and upper parts of the rod are made of durable aluminium alloy. A round monolithic coil made of impact-resistant plastic with a diameter of 7" is not afraid of complex reliefs, but it is still advisable to put protection on it if you don’t want to get phantom responses and a scratched or even worse beaten belly of the coil later.

Well-chosen bending angles and weight distribution provide the detector with good manoeuvrability. Due to the light weight of just over 1 kg, the model is simply perfect for long wanderings. The rod length adjustment has 9 positions, and simple assembly on spring buttons and collets guarantees no backlash.

The coil is completely isolated from water, but the entire detector can be immersed in water only up to the control unit, since it does not have water resistance, although, like the touch panel, it is able to actively resist rain or splashes.

Functional

The Fisher F11 operates at a very low frequency (VLF) and has three pre-installed discrimination programs: "Relics", "Jewellery" and "Coins", helping to distinguish really valuable things from trash. The indicator is not high compared to the closest competitors, since it excludes the possibility of manually setting discrimination. Slightly increases the position of the presence of a static mode of precise localization of the target "Pin-Point". Target ID scale consists of 9 segments.

The device effectively detects small objects at a depth of up to 29 cm, which is notified by a 4-tone sound signal, the volume of which can be adjusted.

battery life

The F11 is powered by a 9V PP3 battery, which is enough for 25 hours of operation. The model will fit into any low-cost and is able to reliably serve for many years, which is confirmed by a 5-year manufacturer's warranty on the control unit.
