One of Gigabyte's highest performing mid-range graphics cards based on the AMD Navi 10 GPU, which was built using cutting-edge 7nm technology. Designed to assemble performant gaming configurations with FullHD and WQHD resolution monitors. It is positioned as a full replacement for the popular models of the previous generation (AMD RX 570/580/590, Vega 56/64), which the Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT GAMING OC 8G graphics card outperforms by 20-50% in average gaming performance. A first for consumer products, the RDNA microarchitecture delivers impressive levels of performance in any popular game from 2015-2019. The video adapter has a small factory overclock (+2.3% to the boost-mode frequency) and turns out to be significantly more performant than the GeForce GTX 2060, and in some situations a...pproaches the GTX 2070. The user can count on a consistently high frame rate with the highest possible graphics quality settings in resolution of 1920x1080, and in the vast majority of cases, a high frame rate is maintained even at higher detail - 2560x1440. Worth mentioning is the quiet and highly efficient WindForce 3X 3-slot cooling system, consisting of 5 copper heat pipes, impressive aluminium fins and three axial fans.

Semi-passive mode of operation. Low heating. Low noise level under load. RGB backlight. A little factory overclocking.

Middle level

The Gigabyte RX 5700 XT GAMING OC is one of the relatively inexpensive variants of the Radeon RX 5700 XT in Taiwanese manufacturer Gigabyte's range. The company produces the most "advanced" video cards under the Aorus gaming brand.

Triple WindForce cooler

The card differs from the reference sample in a number of differences: three 80mm WindForce fans are located on the elongated case, which rotate in different directions, the radiator is pierced by five heat pipes, there is an amplifying plate on the back of the graphics card, and the cooler is equipped with RGB FUSION backlight. However only the logo is highlighted. In general, if you have already seen video cards from the XT GAMING line, then the design will seem familiar to you.

Factory overclock

As the manufacturer promises, the graphics card under gaming load should operate at a frequency of 1795 MHz. However, due to dynamically changing frequencies during boost, it is not so easy to determine the average value. If you average, then in games it turns out somewhere around 1855 MHz. That's 100 MHz more than the stock RX 5700 XT. The addition is not God knows what, and it will not give a noticeable increase in FPS, however, Navi cards in general have not too high overclocking potential.

Efficient cooling system and low power consumption

The strength of the Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT Gaming OC 8G can be called a cooling system. Under load, it is very quiet, and the core temperature does not rise above 64 °C. At low load and chip temperature below 45 °C, the coolers reduce the speed to a minimum and go into silent mode. Well, there is an interesting situation with energy consumption. Gigabyte recommends using a 600W power supply, while most 5700 XT variations from other manufacturers require 650 or even 750W. On the other hand, NVIDIA is still a little ahead here, since a 500W power supply is usually enough for the GeForce RTX 2060.
