Powerful, large-sized top-class gaming graphics card of 2025 from Gigabyte, based on the advanced NVIDIA Blackwell microarchitecture (2025). The model belongs to the high-end price segment and is part of the specialized Aorus Extreme subseries, primarily targeting enthusiasts and demanding gamers. Unlike most other GeForce RTX 5080 modifications, it is equipped with a hybrid cooling system.

The cooling system includes a copper water block, a massive 36-centimeter radiator, and three 120 mm fans with built-in ARGB lighting. The cooling system is pre-installed out of the box to simplify the installation process as much as possible. The card is built on the GB-203 graphics processor—this is a high-performance solution from the Blackwell line with 10752 streaming processors, an increased operating frequency of 2805 MHz, support for PCI-E 5.0, and DirectX 12 Ultimate.

NVIDIA has also equipped the graphics card with 16 GB of new generation GDDR7 memory with a 256-bit data exchange interface. According to the manufacturer, these architectural improvements resulted in an approximate 30% performance increase compared to its predecessor, the GeForce RTX 4080. Additionally, unlike the RTX 40 series GPUs, the new RTX 5080 supports the fourth version of DLSS technology, which is based on transformer neural networks, utilizes more data from Tensor cores, and has broader functionality than DLSS 3. Specifically, it boasts an enhanced image scaling system and a new multi-frame generation technology, which, according to NVIDIA, can increase average gaming performance by 4–8 times.
