High-performance mid-range gaming graphics card with a large amount of graphics memory and an efficient proprietary cooling system. The manufacturer is positioned as a competitor to the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 model, belongs to the middle price category. Designed for use in gaming personal computers equipped with Full HD resolution monitors. It features the use of the WindForce 2X cooling system, consisting of two 90 mm fans with a unique blade design and three copper composite heat pipes with direct contact technology and advanced fins. In addition, there is a customizable RGB backlight, a powerful metal reinforcing backplate and moderate factory overclocking profiles. The heart of the Gigabyte Radeon RX 580 GV-RX580GAMING-8GD graphics card is the AMD Polaris 20 GPU, which has 2304 stream...processors. With high-speed GDDR5 graphics memory (8 GHz effective frequency), it operates on a 256-bit bus. The performance of this bundle is quite enough to get a consistently high frame rate in any popular games of 2016-2018 at a resolution of 1920x1080 and maximum graphics quality settings. The graphics card requires an additional PCI-E 8-pin power connector and provides up to 185 W of thermal power. It can work with virtual reality headsets, supports the creation of multi-monitor configurations (up to 4 monitors).

Good product

A decent card, heats up to 76 degrees and the fan spins at only 55%, while showing decent performance.
Powerful, quiet operation
The reduced power limit, which has to be raised again after each driver update. Instead of 185W, you might get only about 165W, and sometimes the computer shuts down due to lack of power supply (Overclocked), literally just a few Watts during complex effects, otherwise it consumes 100-130W.
use Gigabyte Radeon RX 580 GAMING 8G more than year
I recommend buying it, simply top for its price
19 May 2020
Ordered for 4k UAH, came in full packaging with papers and drivers on a disc (a small USB stick could have been included), packaging 10/10. The graphics card doesn't exceed the stated temperature, FPS just flies, the card itself is silent. The lighting isn't great, but for its price, it's just right. Ordered a used version, overall recommend it.
Packaging, lighting, temperature, price, 8GB video memory
Everything is great, no downsides.
use Gigabyte Radeon RX 580 GAMING 8G few months
Superrr! I recommend!

I don't know who is saying about noisiness and overheating... (It's probably in their heads) Nothing of the sort was noticed. Everything works and "flies." The temperature has never risen above what was claimed by the manufacturer.
Powerful, quiet, relatively inexpensive.

The Old Lady That Can Challenge the Young

When seeing the old Radeon RX 580 in 2020, many may reasonably ask what on earth it is doing in the top list of the best graphics cards under $250? Hold on a minute, we will explain everything. The point is that this option from Gigabyte is arguably the most affordable graphics card with 8 GB of video memory that you can find in stores right now. For many modern games, 4 GB is already barely enough, especially with the next-gen titles like Cyberpunk 2077 on the horizon, where 8 GB of video and 16 GB of RAM will be mandatory for comfortable play. And despite its age, the Gigabyte Radeon RX 580 fits these requirements perfectly. And it costs exactly the same as the GTX 1650 SUPER and 5500 XT with 4 GB.

Power Supply Unit

The flip side of the coin is the "power-hungriness" of graphics cards on the Navi chip. Of course, it's not as outrageous as the VEGA lineup but noticeably higher than models from 2019 - 2020. If for the average GTX 1650 SUPER you need a 350 W power supply, then here a minimum of 500 W is required. And preferably 550 W, to leave room for overclocking. However, this can also be seen as a plus. By purchasing a high-quality power supply with a reserve, in a couple of years, you can choose more powerful and modern components without worrying much about power consumption limits.

Once a Flagship Graphics Card

Regarding everything else, this card from Gigabyte was once a flagship model with all the ensuing features: an advanced WindForce 2X cooling system with asymmetric blades, full-fledged RGB lighting with RGB Fusion 2.0 synchronization, a reinforced backplate, and a set of ready-made profiles for various levels of overclocking. Incidentally, overclocking is another advantage over its contemporaries. Few can squeeze more than 5% from the RX 5500 XT, while here you can expect an additional 10-15%. Meanwhile, the cooling system handles its tasks superbly, keeping component temperatures within normal limits and not producing excessive noise. And in idle mode, it switches to passive mode, reducing noise levels to background.
