The latest incarnation of Gigabyte's monster AORUS MASTER motherboard, based on the cutting-edge 2022 X670E chipset. The model belongs to the Hi-End class, is equipped with advanced circuitry and advanced tools for monitoring and overclocking the system. Like all representatives of the AORUS MASTER series, the board is aimed at overclocking enthusiasts and hardcore gamers who can set performance records by correctly configuring the parameters of the processor, video card and RAM.
Traditionally for the MASTER series, the board is made in a gigantic E-ATX form factor, which will not fit into every Midi Tower case. Gigabyte X670E AORUS MASTER is equipped with an ultra-powerful 23-phase processor power subsystem with aluminium radiators and all-round cooling of power circuits. To install the processor, the AM5 processor socket introduced in 2022 is provided, which replaced the 5-year-old AM4.
This platform is designed for installation of Ryzen 7000 and subsequent series processors, and instead of DDR4 memory, support for the DDR5 standard is declared (maximum 192 GB with a frequency of 6666 MHz). Due to the transition from the third generation PCI-E bus to the fourth generation, the board can work with reactive M.2 SSD drives that operate at speeds from 5000 to 75000 MB/s.
Installation of more conventional SSD and HDD drives using SATA 3 connectors is also supported (note: there are 6 of them in total). The slots for video cards are reinforced with reinforced fiber and equipped according to PCI-E 5.0 standards. Game traffic is processed by a specialized Intel 2.5GbE network controller with a bandwidth of 2.5 Gbit/s. The built-in wireless receiver supports Wi-Fi 6E and is compatible with previous versions of the standard. The advanced audio subsystem Realtek ALC1220-VB is responsible for the high-quality sound of the system.
